Ubuntu: check if a package is installed
To check if a package, for example,
gnome-shell
, is installed,
Run the following command:
dpkg -l | grep "ii" | awk '{print $2}' | grep "^gnome-shell$"
or run the following command:
dpkg -s gnome-shell
